Warped Dreams
The sad truth, of her ilk.
Morning smiles,
Rushed into midnight screams.
Faded charms,
Warped dreams.
A school girl,
She weaved a future of joy galore.
Till life took a twist,
In a notorious whirl.
Chained by trafficking,
Her childhood bled,
In the bed of strangers,
As midnight crept.
Writhing in pain,
Her soul struggled to breathe,
The night, lay on her innocence,
A dark wreath.
Days rolled into years,
Night after night,
In the confines of a brothel,
A piece of flesh survives.
For her soul still wanders in the days gone by,
Reminiscing a Kala- Khatta on Juhu beach, under the purple evening sky.
